How a Welsh-Englishman - who attended the royal military academy shared by Princes William & Harry - wound up raising cattle & growing grapes in a hauntingly beautiful deserted canyon in southwestern Colorado, is a long & complex tale involving a woman. The relationship ended, but the happier result is that Sutcliffe Vineyards produces wine so memorable that the label has established a cult following among sommeliers from San Francisco to London, & private customers such as Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
